I've seen hoods, bumper parts and some of the repro lights, hood orniments on ebay... but to believe there are enough
fenders, cowls, back end body parts to build 10 cars...
Don't take offense... I'm new to the Tucker world really...
Maybe you've seen these part cars , Heck I would love to see these parts, I have seen some photos of the convertible someone is trying to build... so close to having a complete car there I think it's a waste of time creating something that didn't exist when someone is so close to fininshing up another complete car.. Also heard of another that has
gathered almost enough parts to complete a car.... Would love
to see this car...
these larger parts such as fenders, bumpers, cowls, back ends,
these would have had to come from the plant closing auction.....
part cars that hadn't made it to the assembly line yet?.....
Anyone have pictures of these?

Well if you believe the folklore, the catacombs under the Tootsie Roll factory still house a huge stockpile of NOS Tucker parts. :D

Ha.... I'm from Missouri... the “Show Me” state...
I've seen the pictures of the convertible.... and a few rusted away
cars.... and have some other images coming via email.
in the mean time I think I'll grab a shovel head up to the tootsie roll plant.
I just want to know what's all out there.... if folks out there
have these part cars and fiberglass cars would love to see the pics... something to get this place talking instead of “Hey...How much is my Tucker Stock worth”....

I'm with you on this one, I'll get my shovel and head that way too. I agree that it would be great for anyone with information, or photos of these things to share them, so the wealtho of knowledge could be shared with the curious.

Well, IMHO, the Tucker stock certs are way over valued, since there never seems to be a shortage of them on eBay, and having crawled around inside of 1003 while it was being restored, I can honestly say that there's a wealth of information which modern designers could benefit from, by doing the same with a Tucker.

So much of the history of the company and what Preston was trying to do has been lost that you'd think that anyone with knowledge of the car would be eager to share it all. Sadly, that often doesn't seem to be the case.

No, no!

You actually have to go the Ford City Mall. Go into the abandoned Montgomery Ward store and head over to the old Petites section. Go into the third fitting room on the left and pull on the coat hook. This will open a secret door through the mirror that will lead you down a tunnel. At the end of the tunnel there will be a fat guy in a yellow poncho. His name is Hank. Give Hank the code phrase, "Four fried chickens and a Coke." He'll give you a Tootsie Pop and if you correctly guess how many licks it takes to get to the Tootsie Roll center, Hank will take you to Phase 2. Standby in Phase 2 for further directions.

I think he really would love the chicken and soda with no problem. Just real food and lots of it will work since he might be hungry just being there all day guarding the Tucker parts.
